Can I run both Miricam and LiveCamNetwork on the same domain or website?
Yes.
Can I purchase Miricam without LiveCamNetwork?
Yes.
Is there a free version of Miricam that I can use for my website?
A free version of Miricam will be ready on or before June 1st 2011.
How many broadcasters & viewers does Miricam support?
Unlimited.
What do my chat hosts need to broadcast on Miricam?
Virtually any PC, Mac, Webcam and mic will work well with Miricam. We recommend Headsets for best results and to prevent audio Echo.
How many video windows can I display on my screen at the same time?
We have imposed a "soft" limit of 8 videos as we think that trying to carryon a conversation with more than 8 may be hard for users to do and slow down your Internet connection. This limit can be removed upon request.
Is a website included with Miricam?
No. Miricam is intended to be used on existing websites or stand-alone.
Is there a text-chat window included with Miricam?
No. Miricam is a video/audio only chat system.
Can I replace the "Miricam" logo with my own site name and logo?
In the free version, no. In the paid versions, yes.
Can my users use Miricam in "Audio Only" mode if they do not want to broadcast live video?
Yes. They can select a "No Cam" option when they log-in.
Can I place my own banners on Miricam?
You can do this in the Pro version of Miricam but not in the free version.
How do I validate users with Miricam?
Miricam has its own automated username and password authentication system. As users register for their own username and password, Miricam will send an email to that user with a unique link. When users click this link, their accounts are automatically verified at which time they can use Miricam any time they like.
Can I replace this user authentication system with my own?
Yes, With Miricam Embedded, You can use just about any authentication system you like. For example, if you have a members area of your website, or are running vbulletin, or php etc, the username can be embedded diectly into the URL of Miricam. Miricam works with any username passed to it. It is up to you and your website to provide the username data and validation. This is done automatically in most membership areas of websites, as well as social forums such as vBulletin.
What is the video quality like?
The video quality is as good as your broadcasting hardware and connection will allow. Broadcasting with Camcorders will have better feeds than webcams for example.
What are the controls available to users and broadcasters?
- User list: Users may select or deselect any video and choose who they wish to view and communicate with at any time.
- Volume Control: Turn the volume up or down of any individual broadcaster.
- Mute button: Mute / unmute audio of individual broadcasters.

Yes.
Is there a charge for bandwidth?
Bandwidth is free for Miricam FREE. Bandwidth is included in the price for each of the other licenses.
Can I use Miricam with adult content?
Yes as long as it is preceeded with a proper adult content warning page, and that all content remains in accordance with Canadian and American 18 USC 2257 and other laws.
Can I use Miricam with Pay Per Minute Billing software?
No. We currently do not offer this option. Pay per minute video is available in our LiveCamNetwork product only.
Is my Miricam license transferable?
Yes.
Can I broadcast multiple streams from the same computer?
Yes. We have tested Miricam streaming using 4 different webcams on the same computer without any problems or performance issues. Your own experience may vary. We offer no guarantees on performance or stability when doing so.
What are the minimum requirements?
A reasonably fast PC running Windows, or Apple Mac running OS/X, A DSL or Broadband Internet connection, and compatible webcam and headphones.
Do I have to modify or change any security or firewall settings to use Miricam?
No.
Can I display my site name and link to it in the free version of Miricam?
Yes.
Can I display my own logo or advertising in the Free version?
No. You must purchase the Pro or Embedded version to display or logo and ads.
How do I add my own logo and ads?
This feature is available in Pro and Embedded versions only. The logo and advertising sections are pure HTML. You can host these files yourself or we will host them for you for free.
